Outcomes

What clients get from it

Relationships restored

Most parties leave with a written agreement and a plan they helped design.

Weeks, not months

From first call to agreement usually takes 2–3 weeks.

Lower legal risk

Resolving early reduces the chance of claims to Fair Work or WHS regulators.

Client stories

Heard, then resolved

Two senior managers hadn't spoken in four months. After one day with Parley they had a written working agreement, and six months later it's still holding.

I went in expecting to be judged. The mediator made sure I was heard first. It was the first time the conversation felt fair.

Questions

Common questions about workplace mediation

See all FAQs
Is mediation voluntary?
Yes. Both people must agree to take part, and either can stop at any time. In practice, most people agree once they understand the process is confidential and neutral.
Does HR find out what was said?
No. Only the final written agreement is shared, and only with both parties' consent. What is said in the room stays in the room.
What if there's a big power imbalance?
Our mediators manage power carefully through pre-sessions, private breakouts and support persons. If it isn't safe for someone to participate, we'll say so.
Can a support person attend?
Yes. Each party may bring a support person, who doesn't speak for them but can take breaks with them.
